Prof. Gunnar von Heijne - University of Stockholm, Sweden
The pioneering research work of Prof. Gunnar von Heijne has shaped our understanding of membrane protein assembly, folding, and structure. With a PhD from the Royal Institute of Technology and a postdoctoral position at the University of Michigan, he has held key positions at Karolinska Institutet and Stockholm University. Prof. von Heijne has also served in leadership roles, including Director of the Stockholm Bioinformatics Center and the SciLifeLab Cryo-EM Facility, he has been a member and chairman of the Nobel Committee for Chemistry, and has received several prestigious awards, including the Arrhenius Medal.
Prof. Thomas Carell - Ludwig-Maximilians Universitat, Munich, Germany
Currently working at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universitat (LMU) in Munich, Prof. Thomas Carell leads a research group focused in nucleic acid chemistry. His work explores epigenetic programming in DNA & RNA, prebiotic chemistry, and developing synthetic techniques for oligonucleotide delivery. His research on Cu(I)-catalyzed click reactions led to the creation of Baseclick GmbH, advancing cell proliferation assays & next-gen sequencing. His contributions have earned him numerous honors, including the Order of Merit of Germany and the Leibniz Award. He is a member of the German National Academy Leopoldina.

Denis Dupuy - ARNA Lab, Bordeaux
Denis Dupuy is a distinguished scientist specializing in RNA metabolism, gene regulation, and neurodegeneration, with extensive expertise in C. elegans as a model system. After earning his PhD from Université Victor Ségalen Bordeaux 2, he conducted postdoctoral research at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute/Harvard Medical School. Since 2007, he has led research at the Institut Européen de Chimie et Biologie (IECB) and is currently a Chargé de Recherche Hors Classe at Inserm.
His contributions have been recognized with prestigious awards, including the Bettencourt Schueller Avenir Award and Inserm’s Avenir program funding. As the coordinator of the MSCA Doctoral Network and a leader in multiple international research initiatives, he continues to shape the field through innovative studies on RNA biology and disease mechanisms. He also holds editorial roles at PLoS ONE and Current Opinion in Systems Biology, further contributing to the advancement of molecular and cellular research.
Ruben Ragg - Editor-In-Chief, ChemBioChem
Ruben Ragg studied biomedical chemistry at the Johannes-Gutenberg-Universität Mainz and graduated under the supervision of Klaus Müllen. He obtained his PhD in 2016 from the Max Planck Graduate Center Mainz working with Wolfgang Tremel on enzyme-mimetic catalysis and joined Wiley-VCH in April 2016.
Stéphanie Monzelun - Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer, Aelis Farma
Stéphanie Monlezun is the co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of Aelis Farma, a biotech company based in Bordeaux specializing in the development of treatments for brain diseases. Holding a PhD in biomedical and pharmaceutical sciences, she has worked as a neuroscientist in the field of addiction and served as an associate professor at the Université Libre de Bruxelles. Her 360° vision of drug R&D enables her to efficiently coordinate Aelis Farma’s research programs and foster strong relationships with the company’s industrial and academic partners.
